SEASONS OF LIFE #2 (Waiting Season)
1. Waiting is a Time of Preparation and Growth - Isaiah 40:31, Psalms 27:14
“Those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength.” Isaiah 40:31
“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” Psalms 27:14
2. Waiting Grows Patience and Trust - Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 55:9, Romans 8:25
“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.” Proverbs 3:5–6
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts… ” Isaiah 55:9
“But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience - Romans 8:25
3. Waiting Builds Character and Humility - James 1:3-4, Psalms 62:5
“Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1:3–4

4. Waiting Aligns Your Desires with God’s Will - Psalms 37:4-5
“Make God the utmost delight and pleasure of your life, and he will provide for you what you desire the most. Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust him along the way, you’ll find he pulled it off perfectly.” Psalms 37:4–5
5. Waiting Helps You to Appreciate the Blessings - Isaiah 30:18
“Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!” Isaiah 30:18
6. Waiting Reveals God’s Purpose and Direction - Psalms 37:7, Proverbs 16:9
“Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.” Psalms 37:7

7. Waiting Strengthens Your Testimony and Encourages Others - 2 Corinthians 1:4
“He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us.” 2 Corinthians 1:4
