TWO TYPES OF PATIENCE NEEDED:

Patience with PEOPLE 2. Patience with CIRCUMSTANCES
DEFINITION FOR PATIENCE

The capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.

Patience is not the ability to wait, but how you act while you’re waiting.
Greek word translated as patience is macro-thumia (Means: Long Fire)
1. SOMETIMES, OUR PATIENCE IS TESTED
Abraham (Genesis 12:1–4, Genesis 21:1–2
2. SOMETIMES, OUR PATIENCE IS PROVEN
(1) Job - Endured devastating losses while maintaining faith
(2) Hannah - Prayed persistently for a child (1 Samuel 1)
(3) Simeon & Anna - Waited their entire lives to see the Messiah (Luke 2:25)
(4) Moses - Led the Israelites for 40 years i(Numbers 14:33-34)
(5) JOSEPH (Genesis 37, Genesis 39)

Your pit is not your end. The delay is not God’s denial.

God is working in the waiting.
3. PATIENCE IS NEEDED WHEN WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE
David (1 Samuel 16:12-13
The gap between what God SAID and what we SEE is where patience is developed. (Psalm 40:1)
